John started his career in HMRC in the UK 38 years ago, then moved into the private sector (an accountancy firm). He returned to Gibraltar in 2000 for family reasons, where he joined Sovereign. He then worked for another company service provider as a trust officer, dealing with sales enquiries which would also involve looking at business accounts. This gave him a thirst for further accounting knowledge and he embarked on ACCA\u2019s Qualification course to train as an accountant.<\/p>\n

The change in career path found John a position as an Account Manager with Willis Towers Watson (WTW). Here he learned that insurance accounting is not for the faint hearted.<\/p>\n

John returned to trust and company administration with STM after five years with WTW. STM was then acquired by Sovereign and he is back where it all started, and is a Senior Manager for Sovereign Trust (Gibraltar) Ltd.<\/p>\n
