Client Accounts Manager

Sovereign Mauritius is looking to recruit a Client Accounts Manager to form part of their team.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide final sign-off on all accounts and accounting work of the department.
  • Help when required to manage unsatisfied clients in a professional and timely manner to resolve any issues.
  • Lead and managed a team of client accountants daily to deliver the objectives of the company.
  • Ensure that the client accountants develop and maintain a good synergy with the other departments.
  • Ensure that your allocated team meet internal and statutory deadlines.
  • Ensure that the client accountants always use and update the company management solutions (VP).
  • Hold recurrent portfolio update meetings and identify any anomalies and act accordingly to remedy same.
  • Identify risks associated to client accounting and ensure proper framework to manage those risks.
  • Design and/or redesign departmental procedures to ensure teams/individual objectives are met.
  • Plan and manage for resources (Team composition, leaves and allocation of jobs and anything alike).
  • Identify weaknesses and strength of team members then design a plan for improvement and progression.
  • Conduct any appraisal reviews for departments and ensure that staff are being fairly treated and report any matters to your line manager.
  • Ensure that the department is operating effectively and efficiently and using IT as a leverage.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the processes considering the use of the Shared Services Company of the group.
  • Ensure that the department understands the buy-in vision, mission, and values of Sovereign in delivering quality services to the end client.
  • Report to your reporting line in a consistent and clear manner.
  • Provide professional guidance and advice to client accountants, colleagues and clients for accounting and tax queries.
  • Acquire a good knowledge of Sovereign products and services.
  • Provide client accounting report and data to the regulators and other departments as required.
  • Perform any cognate duties as assigned by the line manager.

 

Profile:

  • ACCA qualified.
  • Experience in Accounting and taxer for global business companies and Trust.
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Deadline orientated and good working under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated and reliable.
  • Able to lead a team of Client Accountant.
  • Experience in working with Viewpoint would be an advantage, although full training will be provided
