The Position
Sovereign Guernsey is looking to complete their newly recruited YIP team with the addition of a Pensions Administrator who will also have a compliance focus.
Responsibilities
The team is growing in readiness for taking on Your Island Pension (YIP), a scheme introduced by the States of Guernsey to ensure that Guernsey residents are able to save money for retirement through their employment.

The Occupational Pensions team is a close-knit and hard-working team who enjoy the various social and fundraising events available at Sovereign Guernsey.
We are seeking a Pension Administrator to come support this new project- This role primarily involves the day to day administration of occupational pension schemes, as well as becoming the team guru on all things compliance. You will have the full support of the internal compliance team but will be the day to day “go-to” for the team.
Duties include
- Assisting with the onboarding of new clients and members.
- Preparing investment instructions and liaising with fund administrators.
- Processing pension transfers.
- Handling queries and requests from clients, members and third parties.
- Maintaining an understanding of the Occupational Pensions team’s key regulatory requirements (with training and support from the Compliance team).
- Responding to compliance queries from members of the team.
- Liaising with internal and external parties to resolve client due diligence deficiencies.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous Financial services administration experience ( Ideally pensions but not essential)
- Compliance experience ( Preferable but not essential)
- The enthusiasm and willingness to learn
