Trust & Company Onboarding Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Trust & Company Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all trust and company (T&C) new business received into the Guernsey office. This entails liaising with other departments as required to ensure the efficient review, signoff and establishment of new business cases.

The Trust & Company Onboarding Coordinator reports directly to the Compliance Manager.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the role include ensuring efficient and effective review, signoff and establishment processes exist for T&C new business and to provide support to those introducing new business to the Guernsey office (including Group BDMs). The role also requires regular reporting of key management information to ensure the Directors are aware of new business levels (both ongoing and completed).

The role holder will work closely with the Trust & Company and Compliance teams.

 

DUTIES

Duties will include:

  • Coordinating all T&C new business received to ensure an efficient review, signoff and take on process is in place for new business received into the Guernsey office;
  • Keeping abreast of market trends and competitor activity and making recommendations to the Directors for any adjustments required to ensure competitiveness with the market;
  • Working closely with the local teams to ensure that service delivery is in line with expectations and assist with attracting and retaining further new business;
  • Working closely with the Directors to ensure that performance is in keeping with expectations and that regular management information is being provided;
  • Dealing with new business enquiries (whether a direct application or via a Group BDM) with support from the Directors and the Trust and Company team;
  • Maintaining a current and accurate knowledge of all products and services offered by the Company;
  • Reviewing, developing and improving procedures and processes for onboarding of T&C new business, making recommendations to the Directors as appropriate
  • Attending Director Sign-Off meetings (where applicable) and presenting new business cases for consideration;
  • Liaising with Compliance colleagues to ensure collectively the timely onboarding of new T&C business introduced to Guernsey.
  • Processing all KYC/CDD received ensuring it satisfies regulatory requirements;
  • Maintaining a high standard of personal presentation and representing the Company in a professional manner;
  • Co-ordinating with business development teams within the Sovereign Group and assisting other Group business development personnel with enquiries relating to the products and services offered by the Guernsey office;
  • Liaising with relevant internal departments where necessary;
  • Setting up client files for all new T&C cases;
  • Undertaking any reasonable duties as specified by the Directors;
  • Providing a weekly summary to the Directors of all new business received, signed off and any fees paid in the period;
  • Provide reports directly to the Board as required;
  • Availability for work on group-wide projects as required, or other projects at the discretion of the Board or needs of the team;
