After obtaining a qualifying law degree, in 2012 Jo moved to our Guernsey office to take up the position of Operations Director, heading up its T&C and QROPS business. After two and a half years she moved back to our Gibraltar office taking up the position of Operations Director of the QROPS business.

Jo returned to the UK in 2017 to take up the position of Operations Director of Sovereign’s registered pension scheme administration company and has been an executive director of Sovereign Corporate and Trustee Services Limited since 2019, based in our Chester office. Jo is a member of the Institute of Directors.

Simon became the MD of Sovereign Trust in Gibraltar,  HQ of their global Group where he served two terms as Chairman of the Association of Trust & Company Managers and was a member of the Gibraltar Government Financial Sector Legislation Committee.

Nabil has served as the Managing Partner of Sovereign Trust Consultancy (Bahrain) W.L.L. since 2011. In addition to his role in Bahrain, he is also a Director overseeing the Group’s operations in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. With extensive regional experience, Nabil is responsible for managing and developing the Group’s activities across Bahrain, Saudi Arabia (Eastern Province), Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, and Lebanon.

Nabil regularly counsels clients on regulatory frameworks and cross-border structuring, ensuring compliant and commercially sound solutions. He joined the Sovereign Group in 2010, moving to Dubai to build and lead what is now the Group’s largest sales team. From 2015 to 2020, he was the Managing Director of Sovereign Middle East where he was instrumental in expanding the Group’s product offering in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to include market entry services. Nicholas has travelled extensively to promote the United Arab Emirates around the world as a place to do business and has spoken at a number of international conferences and seminars on the subject.

In October 2018, Nicholas was appointed to the Group Board as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)  and currently oversees the Group’s sales and growth strategy. He sits on multiple boards and travels extensively. In March 2021, he relocated to Zug, Switzerland.

Nicholas was admitted as a Chartered Director by the Institute of Directors (IOD) in 2024. He completed his Certificate in Company Direction in 2021 and was awarded a Distinction in the IOD Diploma in Company Direction in 2023. He is a Member of the Institute of Directors and an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).

Having now lived in Dubai for 13 years, Simon has extensive knowledge of the local UAE market and the expertise to advise clients on how to structure their corporate affairs in the Middle East and further afield. For the past six years he has been leading the team in the UAE and this year, with his appointment as the Managing Director for the Middle East, he has been tasked with creating a Middle Eastern Hub with the UAE as the HQ. He is now responsible for 100 employees across the region. In May 2022, he was a key stakeholder in the acquisition of Pro Partner Group and played an integral role with the merging and integration of the businesses in the UAE.

His education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in International Arts (Economics and Spanish) from the University College Dublin in Ireland. He also spent an Erasmus year studying at La Universidad de Salamanca. He carries the qualifications of a Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) and a Diploma in Loss Adjusting (Dip.LA) through the Insurance Institute of Ireland. He is is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
