David Morley

David joined Sovereign Asset Management Limited in Gibraltar as an Independent Non-Executive Director, chairing board meetings and providing strategic oversight and governance. After his appointment as Managing Director (Executive Director) in August 2026, he now holds overall executive accountability to the Board for the Company’s strategy, regulatory compliance, and risk management. David began his career in financial services in London before building over three decades’ experience in Jersey and Gibraltar, having previously held senior investment and management roles with organisations including Flemings, Royal Bank of Canada, Barings, Chase Manhattan, and Barclays Intl. David is a Fellow of the CISI (FCSI) and a member of the Gibraltar National Advisory Council, and is extremely passionate about strong governance, regulatory excellence and building high-performing, client-centric teams.
