Jake Hardinge

Upon finalising his studies at Durham University in 2022, Jake moved back to the Isle of Man to pursue a career within operational taxes, working within the International Team of the Isle of Man Income Tax Division, focused on FATCA/CRS compliance across all sectors tasked with filing obligations. Following a year spent with the ITD, Jake made the shift to the private sector, moving to Sovereign in 2023, in which he began to lead the Isle of Man office’s FATCA/CRS compliance framework – rebuilding policy interpretations, processes, and inaugurating client billing, for what now constitutes Sovereign’s core FATCA/CRS offering to clients across the Group. After the successful re-build of local FATCA/CRS operations, Jake’s role became increasingly Group-focused, taking on the role of Group FATCA/CRS Manager in November 2024, and later, to his current role of Group Head of FATCA/CRS in November 2025 – focusing on driving FATCA/CRS compliance across all affected Sovereign offices and inaugurating a centralised Group FATCA/CRS Team, which now provides ad-hoc support, entity classification for all managed entities, and XML report production for all affected Sovereign entities. He holds a Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering with the International Compliance Association and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Leadership.
