Sharveen Sookdawar

Sharveen is a seasoned finance and corporate services professional with close to a decade of experience spanning client management, accounting, audit, and regulatory compliance. He joined Sovereign Trust (Mauritius) Limited in May 2023 and Sharveen serves as the primary contact for a portfolio of international clients while leading, overseeing, and developing the client accounting team. Sharveen ensures high-quality service delivery through ongoing performance management, continual process improvement, and strong internal coordination across Compliance, Finance, Legal, and Operations.

Before joining Sovereign Trust, Sharveen held senior roles at Adansonia Management Services Limited for nearly 4 years, progressing to Client Service Manager. There, Sharveen managed client structures, prepared and reviewed financial statements and tax filings, liaised with auditors and Boards, and oversaw team operations. Sharveen’s role also extended to staff training, implementation of new processes, and oversight of real-time accounting and audit finalisation. Sharveen also served as Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (DMLRO), supporting AML/CFT monitoring, handling internal disclosures, and assisting with compliance oversight.

Sharveen began his career at KPMG Mauritius, specialising in audits of financial services entities and gaining experience in financial analysis, internal control testing, and team supervision.

Sharveen holds a BSc (Hons) Banking and Finance with First Class Honours from the University of Mauritius, an ACCA qualification, and an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, completed in 2024. Sharveen’s strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and deep understanding of the regulatory landscape position him as a reliable and trusted professional within the fiduciary and corporate services sector.
