The Process to Obtain Equivalency
The application is submitted through the MOE, with supporting documents uploaded at the outset. These typically include passport and visa copies, Emirates ID and the qualification itself, along with transcripts and supporting academic records.
Where documents are not in Arabic or English, legal translation is required, along with authentication, typically through embassy-issued confirmation or an approved verification provider.
Once submitted, the application is reviewed by the relevant department. At that stage, additional information may be requested, particularly where the structure of the qualification or the awarding institution needs further clarification.
Equivalency Process Timeframes
The time required depends on the qualification and the level of verification involved.
A standard degree from a well-known institution can often be processed within two to three weeks where documentation is complete. More complex qualifications, particularly in engineering or postgraduate fields, may take longer depending on the level of verification required.
