Accounts Assistant (Maternity Cover – 12 months)

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to form part of our Accounts team
in Malta. The successful candidate will form part of a dynamic team. In this role you will
be assisting the Accounts team with the internal accounting function of a licensed entity
and the accounting for various Retirement Pension Schemes.

Main Duties

    • Checking bank accounts for funds received from third parties and report the
      findings to the pensions team
    • Transferring pension payments to members
    • Updating company database and sending emails with the payment transfer
      confirmations to the pensions team
    • Request, download and store valuations from Investment houses for pension
      members as requested by the pensions team
    • Scanning, filing, archiving documents within the accounts team
    • Processing ad hoc payments
    • Assisting with ad hoc projects as required
    • Providing administration support to the rest of the team
    • Any other related duties as may be requested by the Managers or Directors from
      time to time

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of working in an office environment
  • Excellent communications skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Previous experience in a similar position will be considered an asset but not
    essential
  • Strong team player skills and the ability to work harmoniously with a diverse
    workforce
