Sovereign Trust (Cyprus) Limited is a financial services company, a CySEC licensed ASP which forms part of the Sovereign Group, an international group of companies with over 30 years’ experience in trusts and corporate services.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Client Accountant to join our growing team. Based in Cyprus, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial records of a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and providing high-quality accounting support.
Main Duties
- Manage day-to-day accounting for the assigned client portfolios with the help of a junior accountant.
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including bookkeeping, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare management accounts and assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulations.
- Handle VAT submissions, Tax, MOSS returns and recap statements where needed for the clients.
- Handle payroll calculations, and social insurance contributions for the clients.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.
- Respond promptly to clients and client services team queries and provide support where needed.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
- Other ad-hoc duties to support client needs and support the Internal Finance department.
Requirements
- Mid to advanced stages of ACCA or a similar recognised accounting qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting or client-facing finance role.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
- Highly organised with a meticulous approach to work and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong team player with the ability to work harmoniously within a diverse and dynamic workforce.
- Knowledge of EasySoft Payroll software is considered an advantage.
- Demonstrates accountability, strong attention to detail, commitment, and the ability to take ownership beyond immediate job functions.
- Proactive mindset with the confidence to contribute ideas and improve systems, processes, and workflow.

The salary will be commensurate with experience.
