Simon Gordon

Simon Gordon is the Managing Director of Sovereign PPG Corporate Services for the Middle East. Originally from Ireland, Simon moved to Dubai in 2013 initially working as a Business Development Manager for Sovereign before being promoted to Sales Manager. He was appointed as a Director (in Bahrain & UAE) in 2017 and made Managing Director of the UAE in December 2020. More recently, Simon was appointed Managing Director for the Middle East which includes full oversight over our operations in the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar & KSA.

Having now lived in Dubai for 13 years, Simon has extensive knowledge of the local UAE market and the expertise to advise clients on how to structure their corporate affairs in the Middle East and further afield. For the past six years he has been leading the team in the UAE and this year, with his appointment as the Managing Director for the Middle East, he has been tasked with creating a Middle Eastern Hub with the UAE as the HQ. He is now responsible for 100 employees across the region. In May 2022, he was a key stakeholder in the acquisition of Pro Partner Group and played an integral role with the merging and integration of the businesses in the UAE.

His education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in International Arts (Economics and Spanish) from the University College Dublin in Ireland. He also spent an Erasmus year studying at La Universidad de Salamanca. He carries the qualifications of a Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) and a Diploma in Loss Adjusting (Dip.LA) through the Insurance Institute of Ireland. He is is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
