Jonathan is an experienced financial services and business development professional with nearly a decade of proven success across international markets. With a background in corporate finance, offshore banking, and business recovery services, he combines deep technical expertise with a strong commercial instinct. Jonathan holds a business degree and has developed a well-rounded understanding of financial operations, KYC/AML procedures, and strategic growth planning within both onshore and offshore business environments.
Currently as Business Development Manager at Sovereign PPG in Abu Dhabi, Jonathan has played a key role in driving the firm’s regional growth and expansion of services. Over the past three years, Jonathan has led numerous successful company formations across the GCC, with a focus on Energy, Health, Education, Tech, and Consulting sectors. Jonathan’s day-to-day includes advising on corporate structuring, tax strategy, PRO services, and operational setup and expansion to the GCC markets. He has also been instrumental in establishing partnerships for Sovereign PPG with major law firms, embassies, and global government backed trade groups, further expanding Sovereign PPG’s client and referral network.
Jonathan’s international experience includes working for PwC for numerous years and supporting global projects across financial hubs in the UK & Ireland as well as within Europe. Jonthan has a strong track record of working with ADNOC-linked companies within his current role and supporting the incorporation of oil, gas, engineering, and renewable energy firms into the UAE market. Through his collaboration with Invest Northern Ireland, as an example, he continues to support Irish and UK companies in expanding their operations into the UAE, offering tailored bespoke insights into local compliance and market entry strategies.
With a keen personal interest in chess and global leadership, Jonathan brings a tactical mindset to business development. He is always focused on long-term positioning and strategic execution to maximise client relationships and workflows.
